In 1982 Harold Sego came to us with a notion to open an antique mall. At the time there was approximately 20,000 sq. ft. available on the first floor of our large warehouse. The space had been used to manufacture mattresses for the Serta franchise in Louisville. Sego was a true pioneer of the antique mall concept. His vision foresaw the growth of his mall to over 300 dealers occupying more than 70,000 sq. ft.
The antique mall and our building have been widely recognized as the top venue for antique dealers and customers in our region. We intend to keep it that way.

Having a great place to sell antiques is one thing - having knowledgeable staff and high quality dealers is another. We are very fortunate to have commitments from some of the most experienced and accomplished individuals in the antique and interior design trade on board for our new mall endeavor.
In 1984, after seeing Mr. Sego's initial success, we began importing containers of English antiques from a well known purveyor in Wolverhampton, England. While our merchandise sold well; currency and other market conditions prevented us from continuing this venture after a few years. We learned a great deal and made many friends in the antique business. It was true then and true today - successful antique dealers know how to make good buys, display and price their items, and satisfy their customers with unique and diverse merchandise.
Goss Avenue Antiques and Interiors is proud to continue as Louisville's home for antique dealers and buyers alike.
